The Central Lakes College volleyball Raiders lost a 3-1 Northern Division match to Mesabi Range at Virginia Friday, Sept. 16. Scores were 19-25, 24-26, 25-16, 19-25. Carlie Sweet finished with 10 kills and Melissa Widman tallied 25 digs but the Raiders couldn’t hold on to a lead in the second game and it cost them. CLC lost the first game but won the third before losing the final set. “The biggest thing in my mind is that we missed an opportunity to win the second game,” said Head Coach Jane Peterson. “We had a chance to win and we didn’t do it. It’s a learning process that we are still in. It’s hard to be patient but that’s what we have to do.” The Raiders took a 5-7 record into Saturday's match at Vermilion.
