The Central Lakes College men's basketball team ran its record to 8-0 on Sat., Dec. with a 105-41 non-conference annihilation of St. Cloud Technical and Community College in the Raider gym. Ronnie Kornbaum with 19 and Kahreem Horsley led the scoring with 19 and 18 respectively. The Raiders shot 57 % from the field and hit 8 of 22 three-pointers. CLC takes its unblemished record against the Concordia JV in Brainerd Tuesday before going north this week, with a Friday battle at Hibbing and a Saturday test at the borderland of Rainy River in International Falls. CLC is ranked third in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll.
Women win 67-43

Elizabeth Mattson and Emily Weber scored 14 points each and Lindsey Roos and Lena Montano each scored 11. The Raiders are now 2-5 with the rugged Southern Division slate just around the corner. The Raiders' upcoming opponents, Northern Division members Hibbing and Rainy River, are each coming off a lopsided loss to the powerful national defending champion Anoka-Ramsey Rams of the potent MCAC South. Both teams have losing records thus far in 2011-12.
