Zach Rickers to national

Zach Rickers of Bemidji (shown), Central Lakes College golfer, finished in a tie for second place among men's competitors at the state/regional tournament Oct. 2 to earn a berth in the national individual tournament next spring in New York. Zach's two-day, 36-hole stroke count was 158 (77 and 81). Earning alternate designation for national golf were Raiders Chris Thielen of Moorhead (82, 89=171) and Jake Hoffman of Bemidji (84, 91=175). CLC finished in a tie for fifth with Hibbing in the eight-team tournament. M State of Fergus Falls was the state and regional champion. The fourth player in the CLC unit was Alec Larson of Nisswa (103, 90= 193).
